You Will Have To Pay Extra For Facetime Over 3G on Vodafone UK
Today we have learned that one of the biggest UK mobile phone networks Vodafone UK has taken a note out of AT&T’s book. Earlier this year we heard that Apple had made FaceTime over 3G available in iOS 6 but then to our disappointment we also heard from AT&T & now Vodafone UK that they will require users to have a VoIP add-on to their contract / plan.
New customers to Vodafone UK should be ok as the new plans come with VoIP and tethering as default.
All the other major UK networks O2, Orange, T-Mobile, and EE (Everything Everywhere) have confirmed that Facetime over 3G will be available on the current available plans and no add ons will be needed
