Edit: After half day, my wife’s Mac started having the same problem. I have then applied the solution that I found in the Apple
What if Apple Were to Create the iHouse?
Its one of the most important things in your life, buying a house, but what if you actually had the chance to have your house built from scratch by Apple.
The iHouse has been talked about before and could be seen as a very profitable way for Apple to expand its boundaries and create new ideas.
So how would this work? Well, it would most likely be built to order and the design would be chosen from a number of Pre-Sets, on the company’s website.
Everything from the roof and windows to the type of door and security system could be chosen from drop down menu’s. The number of bedrooms, along with the choice of en-suite bathrooms could also be added to the selection system.
The house purchase would yield a 15% deposit which Apple take even before the house has been started, and then the rest of the money could either be payed off in a kind of mortgage scheme or out-right at the end of completion, eliminating problems in the banking sector.
Another upside to this kind of project, is that the more people who buy houses in the town, the larger it grows, developing the need for local business and transportation. Within a year of starting, Apple could technically have its own small city of not only its own products, but people who live in and enjoy them too.
One of the main selling points of the iHouse would be the interior. Its important to note that while this would be a custom design chosen by the buyer, the aspects of the heating system (except solar power) would be relatively the same and controlled from the latest of Apples iPads.
The theme of the interior devices such as the oven, microwave and televisions could all feature a touchscreen technology, similar to what can be used on today touchscreen laptops and devices such as the iPad and iPhone.
The house and the surrounding area would be an “area of the future” that could employ low carbon emissions coupled with a number of projects to keep living costs down to a minimum and attract new people to the area.
With the right planning, the iHouse or the iVillage could net Apple a tidy profit, especially if they were to impose a minimal ground rent fee for subsidies in exchange for “Apple Home Care” on each property.
With the idea currently only being fiction, the chances of the iHouse are currently slim, but as Apple looks to design new products for an ever growing population, perhaps one day we will see the dream that is the iHouse become part of our lives.
