T-Mobile Offers Free Year of MLB at Bat for Customers

It keeps getting better being a T-Mobile customer, even more so if you are a MLB fan. During CES 2013, T-Mobile announced a multi-year deal with MLB. The press release mentioned the MLB at Bat application but nothing definitive as how it would be utilized by T-Mobile. Well today, we learned that T-Mobile & MLB is offering MLB at Bat 2013 premium service free to all T-Mobile customers.

MLB at Bat is a free application with an in app purchase that unlocks premium content. The application has everything from states, live audio, videos, and live games. The $19.99/year ($2.99 per month) premium subscription is the one T-Mobile is offering customers. It includes everything except MLB.TV Premium service that allows viewing out-of-market games live from your device. That service is an additional $27.99 a month.

The offer is available to new and current T-Mobile customers and they have from now until June 30th, 2013 to redeem this offer. It premium service will last the entire 2013 MLB season. You will need to have an iOS device with iOS 5.0 or later that is connected to T-Mobile network to validate the offer. It is actually quite simple to complete the process. After you accept the offer, you will be promoted to sign in or register to MLB.com. After completing, the process you can install MLB at Bat onto another device for example an iPad, log in, and gain access to the premium content.

This is a nice benefit to be receiving from T-Mobile. This is great for those that are die-hard to casual MLB fans. I am a huge fan of the MLB playoffs but it is very difficult for me to stay interested and watch so many regular season games. This application and service makes it that much easier to follow, listen, and watch my favorite MLB team. However, fan or not I recommend getting this if you are a T-Mobile customer. It is highly likely you know someone one that is interested in professional baseball and this application might make someone’s day.
