Swatch Moves To Quickly To Distance Itself From Apple
Swiss watchmaker Swatch has made an announcement stating that it has nothing to do with Apples hotly anticipated iWatch.
Swatch has made a public announcement to the Reuters news agency claiming that it has nothing to do with a wrist worn connected device which Apple is apparently developing for its rumoured iWatch program.
One report emerged earlier this week that stated Apple were talking to several companies, including Swatch, about collaborating on the wrist device.
Swatch had said it was a complete surprise and had its doubts about a wrist watch that could be used in some of the ways the rumours described, stating that the screen size would be to small for anything significant.
Swatch, along with Suunto and Fossil, previously produced watches using Microsoft’s now defunct Smart Personal Object Technology (SPOT) platform, what can be considered a first-foray into the smart-watch world.
