Steve Jobs Was Not Impressed With Jawbone's Headsets

In a sit down interview with Google Ventures , Kevin Rose this week Hosain Rahman Founder of Jawbone spoke about his meeting with former Apple CEO Steve Jobs back in 2004 and how it did not go to plan but helped the company in the long term.

One of the investors in Jawbone had managed to set up a meeting with with Steve Jobs for Rahman to show of Jawbones latest mobile headset back in 2004. The feedback you would receive from Steve Jobs was said to make or break a product.

Jawbone Founder and CEO Hosain Rahman said that it was one of the toughest meetings he had ever sat through as Jobs ripped through the product for the whole 45 minutes which you can imagine would be quite hard to take after spending months on design. Jobs did not leave anything unmentioned asking questions why is this edge like this ? Why you using a external clip? Al these questions finally resulting in the final conclusion of you have not thought about the consumer .

Rahman said in the interview that as Steve Jobs was pointing out all these issues they were releasing it them selfs and this resulted in change in culture for Jawbone its self which has now obviously changed the company for the better. He then went on to say one of the biggest things he took away from the meeting is that just because you have built it doesn’t mean you have to release it.
