Russia Eyes Apple Code as Cold War Tensions Mount

Russia has ordered Apple to hand over its source code with Moscow fearing iDevice’s are being used as spying products.

Russia has been causing many problems in the world lately and it now appears that big company’s like Apple are no longer immune to its grasp.

The government in Moscow is so paranoid, they have asked Apple to reveal its source code to them for fears that iPhones and iPads are being used to spy on the state.

The Russian proposal was voiced last week when Communications Minister Nikolai Nikiforov met Apple’s general manager in Russia, Peter Engrob Nielsen, and SAP’s Russian managing director, Vyacheslav Orekhov, the Communications Ministry said in a statement.

It’s not the first time a country has asked a technology company to come clean about what they are up to with Brazil, Germany and China all changing their security practices with the recent NSA revaluations coming to like.
