Edit: After half day, my wife’s Mac started having the same problem. I have then applied the solution that I found in the Apple
Phiaton PS 210 BTNC Wireless Noise Cancelling Earphones
Wires are quickly becoming a thing of the past. As consumers, we are looking to simplify our life and we all know how inconvenient cables can be.
We have already seen everything from Bluetooth headsets and earpieces. However, what if you we want Bluetooth earphones that were noise cancelling. The Phiaton PS 210 BTNC Wireless Noise Cancelling Earphones (Phiaton PS 210) do just that. Phiaton has found the sweet spot with the Phiaton PS 210 by merging their technology between the Phiaton PS 20 NC and Phiaton PS 20 BT.
The Phiaton PS 210 will be the first product I have ever used from Phiaton. I was not sure what to expect at first but when it arrived my curiosity spiked. The packing is looks high end and comes with an abundance of branding and feature listing. In the box, you will find the headset, charging cable, owners guide, neck strap, carrying case, 2.5 to 3.5mm headphone plug, and ear tips. There are many accessories in the box all of which however are important to create the best experience. The headphone plug is great for those times that you want to use your headset as a simple wired headset. The carrying pouch is simple and does the job. The ear tips are important since they come in different sizes so it is important to test each one for the best fit. If not it will hinder with the overall experience.
I am going to start with the earphones. Their use of materials and the design is great. The Phiaton PS 210 look and feel great. The Phiaton PS 210 has a noticeable weight to them that give the headset a sense of quality. They fit great in the ear causing no pain or fatigue over time. I cannot stress enough how important it is to find the perfect ear tips to improve the experience of the earphones. The earpieces contain a high quality dynamic speaker with a frequency range or 15Hz – 25Hz, an impedance of 32?, and a sensitivity of 108dB. With the noise-cancellation on the earpieces sounds really good but it gets even better.
The controller is where the magic happens. A built-in lithium battery that has an estimated call time of 12hrs and music play back of 14hrs powers the Phiaton PS 210. I had a great experience with battery life as it lasted me the entire day of heavy use. If I moderately use it I can go 2-3 days before charging. It has Bluetooth standard version 3.0 allowing you to use with nearly any Bluetooth capable devices like the iPhone & iPad. You have a full fledge controller that has buttons to Play, Pause, Fast-forward, Rewind, a volume rocker, phone button (answer/hang-up), power button, and noise cancellation (NC) toggle. Bluetooth makes this device great, as it is easy to connect with your iPhone then switch over to another device.
Sound quality while the NC is on is great. Both music and phone calls are clear. On the box, it says that the NC technology cancels up to 95% of ambient background noises. That is true and very noticeable when simple turning on the NC without any music. The sounds from my desktop and room fan simply faded away. Overall, the music is significantly better all around. Earphones are known to perform poorly with low tones and Bass. With the Phiaton PS 210 Bass is deeper but does not over power. Sounds are crisper and full filling. The NC really helps keep the sound pure with the reduction of ambient noises. You can really hear the lighter sounds that you usually miss without NC. I did however come across some sound interference when I was outside during a windy day. If you catch wind directly towards the earpiece, it actually amplifies enough to overpower the sound. It has to be a significant gust of wind at the right angel to have this negative affect.
One of my favorite parts about the Phiaton PS 210 is the fact that it is “wireless,” for the most part. I am able to connect via Bluetooth to avoid that direct-wired connection. It has a built-in clip on to help while you are on the go. You can clip on to your backpack, lanyard (comes with a neck strap), or on your shirt collar where the buttons are locate (polo or button down shirt). However, those that enjoy wearing T-shirts the clip on can become a pain. It not every day that I wear a lanyard so having to wear one for just for my headset is just silly. Therefore, when I am in a t-shirt it is actually difficult to use the Phiaton PS 210 while mobile. It is uncomfortable to clip along the collar or arm sleeve and it is not long enough clip on your belt. Therefore, I am left with either having to hold it at all times or clip it on my sleeve. Of course it can all be avoided by just wearing the neck strap (in the box) or a necklace but it would be nice not to.
I had zero issues with using the Phiaton PS 210 with my iPhone 5 & iPad. They connected without issues. It was like connecting to any other Bluetooth device. All the buttons on the controllers worked. I was able to control my music and phone calls. It is actually really nice not having to check or use your phone to change the song.

These headphones have quickly replaced my daily headset. They look, feel, and sound amazing. The fact that I can use with my entire list of devices whether they are iOS or Android make the Phiaton very versatile and convenient. It is nice that they are not a sore to look. The Phiaton PS 210 is on sale on Amazon for $129. Even on sale, it is a hefty price to pay for a pair of earphones. However, I see investing on a pair of earphones differently than many people. I personally would rather pay top dollar for a pair that will last me years rather than buying a cheap pair every 6 months. The Phiaton PS 210 is built to last. I have already dropped and thrown my pair around the past month they show no signs of wear and tear and they still sounds amazing. These are great if you are tired of going through headset after headset and are ready to commit to a long lasting pair of earphones.
As for Phiaton themselves, I have to say this is an impressive first try of a Bluetooth noise cancelling headset. The performance, sound, and battery life is great. The materials used are great as the Phiaton PS 210 feels like a premium headset. I feel that neck strap could have been much better. The material used was dull and visually unappealing. In addition, the design can be tweaked a bit to improve the experience. Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience with the Phiaton PS 210.
