Magic Trackpad or Magic Mouse? Decide on the Latest iMac
The Magic Trackpad was introduced by Apple in 2010 July. The 5”x5” glass surface with aluminum back is a standalone but oversized version of Trackpad that comes with MacBooks.
And when the Trackpad was launched in the market, people started assuming that this might be the end of mouse. But most people didn’t agree – some because of ergonomic reasons, and some because Trackpad wasn’t included with the systems, but came as an accessory for $69.
Magic Trackpad comes as a standard accessory now with the latest iMacs. This would be a negative point for the Magic Mouse because some of the Mac users will definitely move the Trackpad way.
But do not get ready for Mouse’s funeral too soon. This is because there are not a lot of hardware manufacturers that have developed a Magic Trackpad for Windows systems. And even when they do, mouse is always going to be more ergonomic, and more accurate.
But these two technologies do not have to murder each other. The world would be better if the two devices would co-exist and Mac users would always have a choice to get the right device without paying a lot.
