iPod Nano Coming In April With Rear Camera ? –
A lot of people have been wondering what Apple are going to do to make sure the iPod range does not become out dated. Today we got a little sneak peak on what we can expect with in the next iPod refresh which i think we will see be released some time in April. The pictures show an iPod nano with a 1.3MP camera. Yeah some companies still make 1.3mp cameras!
Well known Chinese blog MIC Gadget said:
It’s real, and it’s a two-month-old prototype that has big problems. It comes with an auto iris lens that can be affected by diffraction and blurring when the iris opening becomes too small in bright conditions. Ok, I gotta say it simply, it takes overexposed photos.
According to our factory sources, Apple have problems with the lens aperture for the next-gen iPod nano, the iris is not functioning correctly to allow the advantages of the low aperture to be utilized.
MIC then also went on to say that Apple have since perfected both the camera and the camera interface and we can expect it in around 3 months.
This does not make sense at all to me. From my friends and colleges who use iPod nanos they simply buy and use them for music purpose as they are low priced and extremely portable. Another point is I can not see Apple releasing a device with an 1.3mp camera after they take so much pride in there camera quality in there other iDevices such as the iPhone 4s with the 8mp camera. I really do not see a point in this and for this to work I think Apple will have to keep the iPod Nano the same price or have only a small price increase
