iOS 7 Design Set To Change Before Public Release
This maybe good or bad news to you depending on your current opinion of the design changes in iOS 7. It now seems that the design of iOS 7 is still under development and is expected to change before the public get their hands on it this fall.
A lot of people have not been shy in voicing their disappointment in the lack of unification of Apple’s stock icons. The stock icons in iOS 7 give of a strong impressions that they were all designed separately with no communication between the separate teams, The Next Web is reporting that Sir Jony Ive who is now in charge of iOS handed the job of stock icon design to Apple’s marketing and communications department and all the only guidelines they had was a colour palette.
The Next Web said:
“We’ve also been hearing that there wasn’t a whole lot of communication between the various teams behind say, Mail and Safari,”
It seems that lack of communication was not the only problem with the teams behind the design of Apple’s latest mobile operation system, it is also reported that disagreement with in the teams lead to a lack of unification.
Apple is still working hard on making iOS 7 the perfect operation system. It seems Apple are aware of the issues some users have with iOS 7 and are super keen to get them fixed, so keen in fact that the version of iOS 7 you seen in the demo’s at the WWDC keynote on Monday is an updated version of the current developer beta.
With iOS 7 beta 1 expiring on July 24th we can defiantly expect at least another updated developer beta before that date. Hopefully we will start to see these improvements ironed out the more betas we get. Apple is expected to released iOS 7 to the public this fall alongside the next generation iPad.
