How To Prepare For The evasi0n Untethered iOS 6.1 Jailbreak
With the Untethered iOS 6.1 Jailbreak hopefully just hours away we thought you may want to start preparing your device so you are ready to go when it is released to the public.
The first thing you must do before any you try any jailbreak is make sure that your device is supported and this has been made very easy for you this year with every device being supported apart from the Apple TV 3rd generation. The following devices are all supported in Jailbreak : iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 5th generation, iPod touch 4th generation, iPad mini, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, Apple TV 2nd generation
The majority of our iOS devices carry a lot of personal and important information and it would be a pain in the arse if we were to lose such information which could easily happen when carrying out a jailbreak. This is why it is very important to back up via iTunes before doing anything after all it only takes a couple of minutes.
This particular jailbreak does not require you to be running the latest version of iOS as it supports iOS 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.2 and 6.1 but it will do no harm to update to 6.1. Do NOT update to iOS 6.1 over the air (OTA) if you choose to do so make sure you do it via iTunes as the OTA updates of iOS 6.1 are not supported via evasi0n yet.
If you want to make sure you are one of the first people with the Untethered iOS 6.1 Jailbreak then there is some crucial steps first of all to be the first to find out when the evasi0n Jailbreak tool has been released and how to jailbreak your iPhone 5, iPad Mini etc then you best follow us on Twitter (@MacReviews) or Facebook
If you want video tutorials we will also be publishing a video tutorial on the jailbreak as soon as it is released on our Youtube channel.
