Easy Ways to Get a Screenshot on Mac

You may have never given a thought to screenshots, but there are some moments that require taking a screenshot, and it is then that you realize that you don’t know how to do it.

So here is a simple guide to make you understand how to take screenshots. There are two basic methods to obtain screenshots in Mac OS X.

1. Grab tool

Grab is an inbuilt Mac OS app. Go to new finder window and select the applications folder. Now go to the utility folder and get Grab tool there.

Go to Capture menu and select the kind of screenshot you desire. Here are the types of screenshots you can get:

Screen (Entire screen): simply click at any place on your screen

Selection (Selected area): drag the mouse and select an area

Timescreen (A screenshot every 10 seconds)

Window (A particular window)- simply click at any place in the given window

2. Keyboard shortcuts

Here are a couple of easy keyboard shortcuts:

– ‘Command’ ‘Shift’ ‘3′- to cover the entire screen area
