Doable for iPhone App Review
A lot of people seem to find it difficult to manage their time efficiently as well as simply getting things done on time. Others procrastinate too much and as a result struggle to meet deadlines, a problem I am no stranger to. You can make a to-do list as well as take many other measures in an effort to make sure you keep on top of things but sometimes this isn’t enough and we need something a bit more reliable. Doable is an app for the iPhone that aims to help you plan your time better and make sure you never fall behind.
We really are spoilt for choice when it comes to organisation apps but Doable stands out as an example that really strives to improve your habits and maintain routines. Doable allows you to set reminders that pop up but instead of waiting until the last moment to remind you, they tell you in advance of a task that needs to be completed by a certain time and leaves it up to you to squeeze it into your schedule.
Every reminder, or Doable as the app likes to refer to them, can be set up to warn you when an impending deadline is approaching and you can set them according to minutes, hours, days, months and even years so you have a lot of freedom to enter all kinds of tasks, from feeding a cat in the evening to renewing a subscription a year from now, and every time Doable will give you a sufficient window of time to make sure the task is completed in time.
Doable has a simple interface and it takes seconds to set yourself a new task. It is suitable for adding reminders to do literally anything and will certainly help you get your life in order. No matter how much you have to do that is piling up in front of you, organising it into a manageable workload is what Doable specialises in, earning it its reassuring name. It certainly makes your goals more realistic.
You will probably have no problem navigating the app and you will find yourself getting the hang of it quickly with just a few taps. It has a basic but attractive layout that includes some pleasing effects, such as smooth animations and a satisfying clicking sound when you accomplish something. It also keeps track of any missed deadlines to help you improve.
Ultimately it falls on you to see these reminders through and summon up the motivation to get these things done, as is the case with any reminder apps. However if you make that initial effort you will find Doable to be a very useful tool for helping you develop better habits. It is available from the App Store for just $0.99 so if you are lacking a decent time management app, this one is well worth a look.
