Bity Bitcoin iOS App Allows Transactions For Digital Currency Users

Bity Bitcoin iOS App Allows Transactions For Digital Currency Users

The creators of Bity claim that it is currently the only app on the app store that allows Bitcoin transactions so we take a look and see what it contains.

Bity is a new application for Apple devices that offers the user a feature to carry out Bitcoin transactions on Apple devices but only when users agree not to hold Apple responsible for anything that may happen in the transaction.

Apple has been blocking apps with Bitcoin transaction functionality however Bity developer Christian J Moss has come up with a unique solution.

The app requires you to electronically sign a deceleration that you will not hold apple responsible and understand that the transaction is wholly your responsibility and the fact that the app has no wallet functionality.

Users of the app must enter a block-chain walled ID and password or, if they have it, the privave key of a wallet which is saved in Bity and used to make future transactions.

The app does not just let users send funds but also has a QR code wallet feature that lets users accept Bitcoin’s through the App and automatically updates the balance upon the funds arrival.

Bity runs on both iPad and iPhone with any size screen but has been optimized for iOS 7 retina display screens however if you are working on iPad you cannot currently send or receive Bitcoin.

The app is free during its promotion period and the developer has been collecting Bitcoin donations to make the work on the Bity possible, there is no word on how much the app will cost once the promotion is over.

The app has so far remained on the app store but with Apple, nothing is certain and we may still see the elusive ban hammer come down upon it
