Edit: After half day, my wife’s Mac started having the same problem. I have then applied the solution that I found in the Apple
Apple iPhone 6 Plus Bending In Customers Pockets, Bendgate?
No iPhone launch ever goes without it’s problems and that of the iPhone 6 Plus is no different after some customers are finding that just from having the handset in their pockets the phone is bending in shape. Could this be the iPhone 6 plus’ Bendgate?
One user took to the MacRumour forums to report his issues saying:
Yesterday, I left at 10am with the iPhone in my left FRONT pocket of my suit pants. I drove 4 hours to a wedding, which also involved a lot of sitting during dinner etc but also 2-3 hours of dancing. I left at 2am and went to bed, driving home 4 hours back.
So in total, the 6 Plus was about 18 hours in my pocket while sitting mostly.
As I lay it on the coffee table and sat down on the couch to relax from the drive (yes, sitting again ), I saw the reflection of the window in the iPhones slightly distorted.
It seems this is not just a one off either as an other user replied to the thread with a picture showing his friend iPhone 6 plus who again after having it in his front pocket discovered then bend in the phone right were the sim tray is (maybe a weak spot in the aluminium?)
Apple is yet to respond to this issue but it is expected that if taken back to an Apple retail store your handset will be replaced. The only solutions to this is try the phone in either your shirt pocket or back pocket but the 6 plus doesn’t fit so there is that solution out the window.
Don’t worry about the iPhone 6 Plus shattering in your pocket though as people have already put it through its paces and it appears the handsets can take quiet a bit of bending although we don’t advise doing that.
