Apple iPhone 6 May Have Extra Water Tolerance, Upgraded Touch Display
Apple’s iPhone 6 could be about to get several new features including extra water tolerance and upgraded touch screen capabilities according to a new video report.
The iPhone 6 is set to be announced and released in September and while there have been many theory’s as to what this new device will entail, there is one video on YouTube which claims to know more than the rest.
Firstly, Apple are apparently set to fix the issue of the display’s movement dropping out when their is water on the screen as with current models, it is very hard to swipe and use the screen when there is water on it.
This is being done with what is called a capacitive display that features a Uniform Electrostatic Field projected underneath the glass and uses your finger to be conductive when it meets the display and a controller on the motherboard calculates the touch location based on the voltage drop by each location – something water messes with.
Implemented into iPhone 6 units will be high-accuracy and high-precision digitizers with the ability to distinguish the difference between a finger and objects that aren’t.
Increased sensitivity fixes this issue and also allows the use of gloves, which is great for those who like to take their phones with them when they go out in the snow or on a skiing holiday.
