Apple iOS 8 Could Have Upgraded Maps Features

Apple is said to be upgrading all its iOS 8 Maps features that could be a move to try and beat the Google Maps application.

Several updates are apparently planned for Apple’s Maps application including an overhaul in both quality, detail and accuracy with the maps themselves being used for public transit directions.

Apple released its version of iOS 7 maps last year however the company came under fire for releasing the application to early and unfinished which resulted in ridicule from the general public.

Apple was forced to issue a rare public apology after the application contained erroneous data, missing details, and substandard imagery and it even went as far as asking users to use competitors programs as an alternative.

The first preview of iOS 8 is expected to be revealed at  WWDC 2014 which will be held in San Francisco in June along with other possible product and software updates with Apple Fan Site covering all of the reveals live on the Un-Announced date.
