Apple CEO, Tim Cook Wished He Had Launched The New iMac In 2013 Instead Of Last Year

In this evenings Apple Q2 earnings call Apple CEO, Tim Cook was asked about the sudden release of multiple products all at the end of last year and was asked if he could go back would we do anything different.

Q: You talked about Dec. quarter had a big & broad product refresh. Were there any learning points from that? Maybe it’s better to stage and stagger out launches?

Tim Cook: if we could run it over, I’d announce the iMac after the turn of the year because we felt customers had to wait too long for that product

It would have made sense to also fill the gap of what is normally the iPad event in March as well.
