Apple Board Member Bill Campbell Suggests Intimate Device Like The iWatch Is Coming Soon

Apple board member, Bill Campbell did a talk on Friday at the headquarters of the company he current serves as chairman, Intuit.

Cambell touched on many subjects involving Apple through out the talk and was not afraid to comment on a former Apple executives both Tony Fadell and Ron Johnson.
When talking about Tony Fadell who is the founder of Nest, Bill said he was suprised at how well it was doing and also let slip that Nest has got some more products in the pipe line

“So, I’ve been surprised at how it has done and is doing. It will be the first of many products that come out of that company, which has a brilliant CEO and engineering team.”

Ron Johnson was recently fired from JCPenney earlier this week and Bill blamed this on him putting a bullet hole in the current business and try to start from a blank page.

“You have to keep your current business going while you experiment with a new one. He didn’t do that. He just put a bullet hole in his current business.”

Now one of the most interesting parts of the video is about intimate devices in which he starts speaking about how much of a break through Google Glass is and how we are now thinking about watches they suddenly become as intimate as our iPhones.

Noting that he was not at liberty to give away specific details on future Apple gizmos, Campbell did tell the audience to expect to see “a lot of things going on with the application of technology to really intimate things.” He pointed to Google Glass as one such intimate object. “It’s a phenomenal breakthrough,” he said. “When you start to think about glasses or watches, they become as intimate as the cell phone was.”

The video interview is above and is well worth a watch.
