A Fork That Tracks What You Eat? @ CES 2013

A Fork That Tracks What You Eat? @ CES 2013

As CES is considered a great event to change the future, some products change it in a weird way. Introducing the HAPIfork designed by Hapilabs for the iPhone, iTouch and iPad. This electronic fork will detect anything you eat from the time its on the plate to the moment it hits your mouth to help build better eating habits.

The HAPIfork or the “smart fork” uses capacitive sensor hooked from the handle of the fork to the prongs and uses bluetooth technology to connect all the information received by the fork to your IOS device. The sensors are very sensitive to any type of contact. My question is How does one clean it after they use it? Hopefully the body is easily able to be gutted out for cleaning. As cool and weird as the product may seem, this doesn’t come with a astounding price tag. the fork will be available soon for $99.99.

According to Hapilabs, a USB version for your computer will be available in the near future. This product is one of a kind for the iOS lineup and will be a sure thing into helping people loose weight or watch what there eating….or it could just be another cool and fun thing to hack.
